Una gran comienzo de año tendrán los miles de fanáticos locales de la banda liderada por Amy Lee, ya que Evanescence confirmó que el 4 de mayo se presentará en Movistar Arena, después de su paso por Brasil y Argentina. La banda, que ha vendido más de 25 millones de discos desde su debut con “Fallen” en el año 2003, regresa al país en el marco de una esperada gira que pasa también Sudamérica, tal ha sido el fervor que en Brasil vendieron – en 24 horas- 3.000 de los 5.000 tickets disponibles. Cómo no ser así, si Evanescence se ha consolidado como una agrupación que marcó a toda una generación y por eso promete un repertorio cargado de éxitos tales como el single ganador de un premio Grammy por mejor “Hard Rock Performance”, “Bring Me To Life”, y otros hits como “Going Under” y “Call Me When You’re Sober”, posicionándolos como headliners mundiales.
Luego de la exitosa gira “The Open Door”, la banda se toma un receso creativo, para gestar su último disco de estudio homónimo “Evanescence”. Al respecto, Lee declaró: “Tengo una nueva perspectiva y una gran parte de eso para mi fue poder alejarse y saber con certeza que estoy aquí, haciendo este disco porque me encanta lo que hago”.
“Evanescence Tour” fue la quinta gira y tercera en formato mundial de la banda de rock y metal estadounidense, abarcando Norteamérica, Sudamérica, Centroamérica, Europa, África, Asia y Australia, con un total de 131 conciertos, que comenzaron el ciudad de Nashville, USA y culminaron en Londres, Inglaterra.

En la actualidad la banda acaba de finalizar una exitosa gira por Estados Unidos y confirmaron, para el mes de enero, el lanzamiento de un box de 6 vinilos con la discografía de estudio de la banda y su primer demo entre otras sorpresas.
